The Story Behind RoomsThatSell
I'm a PhD student in computer science with a focus on AI and preference learning — specifically, how people perceive and respond to design aesthetics across images and unstructured data. My current research explores how we can teach machines to understand human taste — everything from what makes a robot look friendly to what makes a space feel inviting.
That intersection of AI and design is exactly where RoomsThatSell was born.
After spending countless hours helping my mom brainstorm how to decorate our house, I realized how hard it can be to visualize a room's potential. Empty spaces can feel cold and lifeless — and many virtual staging tools make the process feel more mechanical than magical.
